Dr Kenon Chan grew up in Glasgow, Scotland where he learned to appreciate all walks of life and points of view. He also developed the ability to understand most accents.

As a student of the University of Dundee Dental School, ranked number one in Scotland (The Guardian Guide) during the time of his enrolment, he graduated a patient-oriented dentist. Working for many years in his home country, his patient-oriented approach saw him focus on reassuring his patients, maintaining their comfort at all times and ensuring their full understanding and acceptance of treatment choices.

With quality care and treatment at the forefront of his approach to dental health and well-being, he also chose to complete his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow exams.

Kenon was also fortunate enough to be selected to complete his Dental Foundation year two placement in oral and maxillofacial surgery between Ninewells Hospital and the Dundee Dental School. This placement allowed him to work under specialist consultants and professors where he carried out treatments deemed too difficult to manage in general practice, exposing him to high exacting standards and exceptional dentistry training. He is also a published author of research papers.

After enjoying the challenges of Scotland he moved to Australia and joined the team at Maven Dental Group Park Beach.

“I was taught to treat patients like you would want your own family to be treated. I’ve seen my parents struggle with language barriers and people not being as helpful or as respectful as they could be. It has always stuck with me that every patient is someone else’s son, daughter, mother etc. so they should always be treated with the respect and care they deserve”, Dr Kenon Chan.
